To expand the network and increase partnerships, the Photography Study Program, in this case through the auspices of the Indonesian Photography Study Program Association (SOFIA), held the 2021 National Coordination Meeting online via Zoom on Saturday, October 16, 2021. The meeting, which was attended by various universities that have photography study programs and various photography associations, provided a new discourse with a variety of information about the development of photography, the profession, organization and the photography climate during the pandemic.
The Chairman of SOFIA, Oscar Samaratungga, S.E., M.Sn. in his speech said that the Covid-19 pandemic had indeed created a 'distance' with SOFIA members so that they could not hold offline meetings. However, it is hoped that this online meeting can formulate things that build each institution with various contributions in the field of photography. According to the Dean of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR), Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn., this event was indeed initiated to answer the challenges of all Photography Study Programs which are very large in addition to the professional world as well as to run the MBKM program optimally. The Dean of FSMR highly appreciated the presence of all representatives of each photography organization or association and stakeholder Also present in the discussion room were the Indonesian Photography Society (MFI), Photography Society of America (PSA), Indonesian Professional Photography Association, Indonesia Professional Photographer Association, Art Indonesian Photography, Pewarta Foto Indonesia and others.
The synergy of each study program representative is expected to summarize the short-term and long-term work programs in the near future. The existence of online space was found to be easier and could gather photography activists from all over the place without distance limitations. In the first session, the representatives of Photography Study Program enthusiastically gave a discourse on the development of photography education, management, and cooperation programs. In the second session, invited guests in the form of organizations provided a new discourse on the current world of photography work so that these opportunities could be captured and managed together. Each study program has initiated and collaborated with the actors of the photography profession based on the Tridharma of Higher Education where the collaboration is part of the application of the world of education to society and for education itself.
In the event, the committee distributed questionnaires to photography actors so that they could provide input to the implementers of photography education about what is needed by the photography industry so that education implementers can adjust to the form of courses and absorption of lecture material. During this pandemic, educational institutions have a change in work patterns which will certainly affect the form of material and opportunities for the world of work globally. This working meeting is expected to answer the challenges of photography education in the pandemic era and beyond, so that important notes during the meeting are expected to provide opportunities and enlightenment for all Indonesian Photography Study Programs in order to provide better educational services.

The Dean of FSMR really appreciated the presence of all representatives of each organization or association who attended the SOFIA Rakornas discussion room on Saturday, October 16, 2021.
