Although its age as a faculty is still relatively young, the spirit of building an image and educational management to meet the needs of academic administration services, facilities / facilities for lecture and practice rooms, practical equipment to support the teaching and learning process, student activities, is so great that in the end everything can be realized by compiling a program in stages through ISI Yogyakarta's education budget planning and competition grant programs such as SP4. Now after 25 years, various facilities are available, such as faculty buildings, television and photography department buildings with theoretical and practical lecture rooms, practical equipment for the Television Department and Photography Department, Gallery, academic administration computerization system (SIMBOX and SIAK), hot spot internet access, campus television, Journal RecordKamisinema, and the campus environment with garden facilities. This is a form of hard work from all components of the academic community.
To build academic quality so that the teaching and learning process for students meets the standards, lecturers are recruited, especially from FSMR alumni, ISI Yogyakarta who excel and the best graduates from public or private universities with appropriate fields of study, such as communication, management, and information technology.
Various programs such as seminars and workshops, exhibitions / screenings of works, student study tours, have been arranged into an annual routine agenda to support the improvement of the quality of academic and student activities. This program also aims to open up the scientific discourse of record media art, the development of the world of work, and increase appreciation of record media art works to the wider community.
After going through a long process, namely 25 years, the image of FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta is getting stronger as a faculty that has a commitment to the development of the field of audiovisual science and the opening of world of work opportunities for the benefit of the community, including through the socialization of cooperation programs with vocational high school institutions, television stations, production houses, photography studios, mass media and seminar/workshop activities, exhibitions/academic screenings, the achievements of lecturers and students who won various awards for recording media art works (photography and video/film) and alumni who are spread across major cities in the country and abroad, namely as educators, professional artists, and students who conduct further studies at various universities.
