MONITORING OF MBKM INTERNSHIP ACTIVITIES AT THE HAJI WIDAYAT MUSEUM

Magelang, March 18, 2025 - The Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR) conducted the first monitoring of Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) Internship activities at the Haji Widayat Museum. This activity aims to monitor the development of student internships and review the results of the digitization of museum works that they have done.

The monitoring was led by the Dean of FSMR, Dr. Edial Rusli, S.E., M.Sn., accompanied by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Arif Sulistiyono, M.Sn.; Deputy Dean for General and Financial Affairs, Oscar Samaratungga, S.E., M.Sn.; and Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Antonius Janu, M.Sn. Also present were lecturers from the Photography Study Program, Yohanes Baptista, M.Sn., and Pius Rino Pungkiawan, S.Sn., M.Sn.
In this activity, student interns presented the process and results of digitizing museum works which included photos and videos. This digitization is part of the effort to preserve and document the artworks in Museum Haji Widayat. The digitization process is carried out using professional photography and videography technology to ensure optimal documentation quality.

Dean of FSMR, Dr. Edial Rusli, expressed his appreciation for the students' performance in this internship program. "We see very good progress from the students in documenting artworks at the Haji Widayat Museum. This digitization is not only beneficial for preservation, but also opens wider access for the public to get to know more about the works in the museum," he said. He also added that this activity is a valuable experience for students in understanding professional practices in the creative industry, especially in the field of art documentation and conservation.

In addition to providing technical guidance on the documentation of museum works, the monitoring team also discussed with students to evaluate the challenges they faced during the internship process. The accompanying lecturers provided input to make the digitization process more optimal and in accordance with good art documentation standards. (Public Relations)
