On Friday (2/10/2020), the Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR), Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta, received a visit from Lombok Tourism Polytechnic. The visit was received directly by the Dean of FSMR, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn., and Assistant Dean I, Pamungkas Wahyu Setiyanto, M.Sn. in the Dean's Meeting Room, FSMR Dean's Building. Lombok Tourism Polytechnic is part of the State Universities of Tourism (PTNP), under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Economy / Tourism and Creative Economy Agency. During the visit, Lombok Tourism Polytechnic was represented by the Head of the Tourism Travel Business Study Program (UPW) Endang Sri Wahyuni, Secretary of UPW Anas Pattaray, Head of UPW Study Program Laboratory I.A.Y. Sari Dewi, and Head of P3M H. L Ratmaja.
In Indonesia, there are currently six (6) State Universities of Tourism under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, namely Bandung College of Tourism (STP), Bali Polytechnic of Tourism (POLTEKPAR), Makassar Polytechnic of Tourism (POLTEKPAR), Medan Polytechnic of Tourism (POLTEKPAR), Palembang Polytechnic of Tourism (POLTEKPAR), and Lombok Polytechnic of Tourism (POLTEKPAR).
The Dean of FSMR ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn., said that the visit was a means of gathering to exchange ideas and information about the development of education, especially in the creative field. This is closely related to the development of the current creative industry which must be anticipated with concrete actions by planning the development of study programs and courses related to the creative industry.
The Head of the Travel Business Study Program from Lombok Tourism Polytechnic, Endang Sri Wahyuni, revealed that this gathering is expected to be the beginning of good cooperation, related to the opening of two new study programs, namely the Convention and Event Study Program and the Tourism Destination Study Program. Cooperation is possible, for example, in the field of curriculum development, as well as the education pattern of the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka program. Later, cooperation can be carried out by implementing a learning scheme outside the Study Program.
