Changing the Head of the Department is a routine activity every four years in the Department of Television, Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR), Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta. In the Department of Television there are two Study Programs (Prodi), namely Film and Television Study Program and D-3 Animation Study Program. Currently the Head of Department (Kajur) of Television is led by Agnes Widyasmoro, S.Sn., M.A. The election activity for the Head of Department (Pilkajur) has started from September 1, 2020 with the formation of the committee and the socialization process.
Based on Article 2 of the Chancellor's Decree no. 1 of 2019, there were 15 candidates from the Television department who met the requirements, but on September 11, 2020 there was one candidate who failed because he was studying further. The fourteen candidates are Dyah Arum Retnowati, M.Sn., Nanang Rakhmad Hidayat, S.Sn., M.Sn., Dra. Siti Maemunah, M.Si., Endang Mulyaningsih, S.I.P., M.Hum., Retno Mustikawati, S.Sn., M.F.A. Ph.D, Agnes Widyasmoro, S.Sn., M.A., Arif Sulistiyono, M.Sn., Dr. Samuel Gandang Gunanto, S.Kom., M.T., Mahendradewa Suminto, S.Sn., M.Sn., Tanto Harthoko, M.Sn., Lilik Kustanto, S.Sn., M.A., Pandan Pareanom Purwacandra, M.Kom., Andri Nur Patrio, M.Sn., and Latief Rakhman Hakim, M.Sn.
The election activity for the Head of the Department was held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at 11.00 WIB, located in Studio 1 of the Film and Television Study Program by implementing strict health protocols, namely by maintaining distance and always wearing masks. There was then an election process carried out by fulfilling several procedures such as, the meeting was attended by at least 2/3 of the lecturers and in fact, out of 33 lecturers in the Television Department, only 2 lecturers were unable to attend.
The legal basis for this Pilkajur activity comes from the Chancellor's regulations consisting of, ISI Yogyakarta Chancellor Regulation No. 1 of 2019 concerning the appointment and dismissal of Lecturers as Assistant Chancellors, Deans, Assistant Deans, Department Heads and Department Secretaries. As well as ISI Yogyakarta Rector Regulation No. 3 of 2019 concerning the appointment and dismissal of the Director, Assistant Director, Head of the Postgraduate Program Study Program, Head of the Undergraduate Study Program, and Head of the ISI Yogyakarta Diploma Study Program.
The Election Meeting of the Head of Department was opened and chaired directly by the Chairman of the Senate, Dr. Irwandi, S.Sn., M.Sn. At the beginning of the meeting, the aspirations of several lecturers who were present were conveyed. In the beginning, the deliberation process was also dynamic, until finally a vote was held, with the provision that only lecturers present had voting rights. After the voting was carried out, Lilik Kustanto, S.Sn., M.A. was elected as the Head of the Department for the period 2020 - 2024.
The elected Head of the Television Department will choose or appoint four lecturers within the Television Department to hold the positions of Head of the Film and Television Study Program, Head of the Animation Study Program, Secretary of the Film and Television Study Program, and Secretary of the Animation Study Program. The elected Head of the Television Department will be given time to make his/her choice until September 30, 2020.
The atmosphere of the Television Pilkajur was very lively and dynamic.
