This final project defense feels different from previous exams. This is because it is still in the atmosphere of a pandemic, which requires the Animation Study Program (Prodi) to adhere to health protocols in accordance with prevailing directions. The final project defense process was carried out online, with the examiners, consisting of expert examiners, chief examiners, and member examiners from the D-3 Animation Study Program, being in the Television Studio separately.

The exam will be held for 2 days, on Monday, August 3, 2020, and Tuesday, August 4, 2020, from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM WIB. The presentation of works by each thesis exam participant will certainly be different from those held in previous years because normally there are works exhibited and displayed in the gallery and the exam requirements are brought and presented in the exam room. This time, participants will present them via video. conference and displaying works in a Online both from animated films and game Animation. The completeness of the thesis examination material is sent first by the examination participants to be received by the Animation Study Program and then distributed to the examination team to observe the works to be examined.

In the series of thesis exams, there is no session for visiting and observing the exhibition location. Therefore, the examiner can examine and provide criticism on the designs in the report's appendix related to poster designs, infographics, and merchandise. At the end of the paper, each student is required to include a complete CV (phone number, email, FB/Twitter, etc.) with a clear photo of themselves. Accurate information can facilitate future communication, especially for alumni data collection purposes.

Online From August 15-20, 2020, an online exhibition and viewing of works was mandatory for all thesis exam participants for the Odd Semester 2019/2020 period. Starting from this period, it can be considered that the best thesis works can be submitted for intellectual property (IP) registration to the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham). The chief examiner, through a meeting of the examination team, has the authority to determine which works will be submitted for participants to execute.
