The series of selection activities for the Dean of the Faculty of Recorded Media Arts (FSMR), Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta, continued with the assessment and selection process of prospective deans through a voting method to obtain two names of potential deans. The assessment and selection were carried out through a closed session of the Faculty Senate and took place in the FSMR Meeting Room on Thursday (13/2/2020). The results showed two prospective deans, Marsudi, S.Kar., M.Hum. and Dr. Irwandi, S.Sn., M.Sn., in a tie, with each receiving five votes.
The vote results obtained were then submitted to the Rector, accompanied by several supporting documents, including visions, missions, work programs, and curriculum vitae, and completed with a screening report, Friday (02/14/2020). Next, on Friday, February 28, 2020, the stage for the election of the Dean candidates for the FSMR ISI Yogyakarta for the 2020-2024 period will be held by the Faculty Senate.
The process of filtering dean candidates that has been carried out so far is an effort by ISI Yogyakarta and FSMR specifically to advance the quality of education, especially in the scope of recording media art. It is hoped that the next stages will proceed smoothly so that the results can be satisfying and meet the expectations of the civitas academica within the FSMR environment. This is also in accordance with the mandate of the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum., who expects that leadership transitions must be carried out objectively and wisely by observing all applicable norms so that the results can bring better benefits to FSMR in facing new challenges in higher education.
