Towards the end of the year, the spirit of implementing an independent learning campus echoed by the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia is getting stronger. In November, the Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR), Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta received a visit from a delegation from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta (UPNVJ). The visit from FISIP UPNV Jakarta was represented by Dr. Kusumajanti, M.Si as Vice Dean I, Dr. Asep Kamaluddin as Vice Dean III, and Irfan Ripai Sutowo, M.Si. as Secretary of Communication Science Study Program. The visit was received in the Dean's Meeting Room by the Dean of FSMR, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn., who was also accompanied by Dr. Edial Rusli, S.E., M.Sn. as Assistant Dean I, Retno Mustikawati, S.Sn., M.A., Ph.D. as Assistant Dean II, and Arif Sulistiyono, M.Sn. as Assistant Dean III.
The visit from UPNVJ was in the context of exploring and discussing more comprehensively the independent campus learning cooperation program between FSMR ISI Yogyakarta and FISIP UPNV Jakarta. The Dean of FSMR, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. expressed his appreciation and aspiration for the cooperation program that will soon be carried out in 2021. He stated that the three study programs (study programs) in FSMR, namely the Film and Television study program, the Photography study program, and the Animation study program, were ready to implement the cooperation program.
On that occasion, Dr. Kusumajanti, M.Si as Vice Dean I of FISIP UPNV Jakarta explained that this cooperation could later be carried out within the scope of student and lecturer exchanges and course conversions. However, it does not rule out the possibility if this cooperation also extends to the realm of inter-journal cooperation. Furthermore, the Vice Dean III for Student Affairs & Cooperation of FISIP UPNVJ, Dr. Asep Kamaluddin, said that cooperation and student exchanges could also take the form of internships and joint exhibitions. "The emphasized scientific fields are of course very close to the world of communication science and (art) recording media so that they can complement and strengthen each other," said Dr. Edial Rusli, S.E., M.Sn. as Assistant Dean I FSMR. Both parties will immediately design the details of the implementation of this collaboration so that it can be as soon as possible stated in the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) as a solid foundation for implementing the cooperation program.
