Yogyakarta, November 15, 2025 \u2014 Two lecturers from the Faculty of Recorded Media Arts (FSMR) at ISI Yogyakarta, Ghalif Putra Sadewa, M.Sn., and Oscar Samaratungga, M.Sn., served as judges in the short film category of the 14th Tourism Olympics at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). This year, the competition was themed \u201cSailing Beyond Horizon: Unveiling the Unseen Wonders of Marine Tourism,\u201d encouraging participants to explore the beauty of Indonesia's maritime tourism through visual works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UGM Tourism Olympiad is held as an effort to uncover the talents and interests of high school students across Indonesia. This event is also expected to foster a love for Indonesia in the younger generation through creative ideas and positive attitudes reflected in their works. In this way, participants are not only invited to understand cultural values but also to play a role in building more sustainable tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Short film categories serve as a space for students to showcase their perspectives on the cultural potential and maritime wealth of their respective regions. Each submitted work carries different stories and spirits, demonstrating how students interpret the relationship between local culture and tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the judging and Q&A session on November 15, 2025, the board of judges conducted an initial assessment from November 9\u201312, 2025. In this edition, two judges from FSMR ISI Yogyakarta were joined by a judge from Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata AMPTA Yogyakarta, Fuadi Afif, S.IP., M.Sc. This collaboration provided a broader perspective in evaluating the quality of the participants' works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through a careful and thorough judging process, the 14th UGM Tourism Olympiad is expected to further appreciate students' potential in developing ideas for the future advancement of Indonesian tourism. (Public Relations)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
