On December 10, 2024, SMK Muhammadiyah Bumi Nabung Lampung conducted an inspirational visit to the Faculty of Recorded Media Arts, Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta. This activity aims to provide new insights to male and female students about the world of art, especially in the field of recorded media, as well as to provide an overview of life in art higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit began with a warm welcome session in the Photography study program classroom. During this session, students were introduced to the faculty, the department, and various artworks that are the result of ISI student learning. The guest lecturer provided a detailed explanation of the existing study programs, academic activities, and career potentials in the field of recording media arts. Not only that, students were also invited to discuss and given the opportunity to ask questions about art education and the learning experience at ISI Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, as part of this activity, students were invited to watch one of the short films by ISI students. This film provides a real picture of the creative process that takes place on an art campus, while also showing how art can be used as an effective communication medium. This moment became an inspiration for students to get to know the world of art better and consider pursuing higher education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the classroom session concluded, the activity continued with a visit to an interactive photography exhibition organized by students from the Photography program. This exhibition showcased a variety of artworks featuring old printing techniques. The uniqueness of this exhibition lay in its interactive nature, allowing students not only to view the artworks passively but also to engage in experiencing and understanding the processes behind them. Through this activity, students gained insights into photographic techniques they may not have been familiar with before, while also seeing how art can be a profound means of expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main purpose of this visit is to broaden students' horizons regarding the art world and introduce them to the environment of art colleges. Furthermore, this activity is also expected to inspire students<\/a>to further explore their interests and talents, especially for those interested in pursuing higher education in the arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this visit, SMK Muhammadiyah Bumi Nabung Lampung hopes their students can see the various opportunities available in the art world, as well as gain motivation to achieve their dreams. Activities like this not only enrich knowledge but also broaden insight into the importance of exploring talents and interests, especially in the modern era where creativity is a key to success.
