\"Basically, our memories are fragile. And, sometimes, we even tend to forget things on purpose to avoid difficult moments. On the other hand, we remember all the details of the beautiful moments when we draw. We remember every chair perfectly and the sensations experienced at that moment: the wind, the smells, the sounds, the people passing by. It is this experience that I want students to discover. Sensory experience in the service of memory.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Drawing is a perfect way to beautify the immediate environment. It is also a good way to observe people without being seen. Then observe while trying to be invisible so as not to affect the course of things. Drawing allows us to leave a trace, something that will save us. A kind of testimony of our perception of things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I have tried to keep students from reproducing the strict reality that surrounds us; trying to draw their personal interpretation of reality. The idea is to evoke a feeling rather than spend energy on creating an absolutely precise image. Accept their technical weaknesses and turn mistakes into artistic style. I have suggested focusing on close-up views rather than large images. Small everyday gestures say more about a place than tourist monuments.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"The second idea of my workshop is to share images to make people react. That's why I invited students to create images that move. On closer inspection, some scenes appear static. But there are small moving details such as plants moving with the wind or fan, water in a glass or basin, shadows moving with the sun, smoke from hot food, sounds, ... Even a small slow motion will make the image lively and poetic. Students have also recorded sounds to reinforce the sensory experience.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
