The \u201cPath to Creative Media\u201d Recorded Media Art Exhibition and Screening is an annual program organized Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR)<\/a> Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta since 2009 and participated by students, lecturers from the Photography, Television, and Animation study programs of FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta. In addition, it was also attended by colleagues from academia, industry, professionals, and recording arts practitioners, both domestic and international. This exhibition is dedicated to the public as a form of accountability for the existence and development of knowledge in the field of recording arts, especially photography, television programs, film, and animation. game<\/em> as an indicator of teaching and learning quality in FSMR<\/a> ISI Yogyakarta. The annual exhibition of recorded media art \u201cJalan Menuju Media Kreatif (JMMK)\u201d #13, held this year, specifically presents the theme \u201cDisruption of Recorded Media Art in the Era New Normal<\/em><\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Merriam-Webster<\/em>, disruption is the action or process of disturbing something: a break or interruption in the normal course or continuation of some activity, process, etc. Era New Normal <\/em>to serve as a benchmark of space and time for the exhibition theme in order to accompany the spirit of the times experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. With this context in mind, JMMK #13 attempts to highlight and showcase recorded media artworks that emerged in the Era New Normal <\/em>with unique and novel strategies and tactics in their manifestation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition and virtual screening of the recorded media art \u201cRoad to Creative Media 13\u201d will be held at FIAP Exhibition Center (FEC)<\/em>, Pandeng Gallery<\/a>, FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta virtually via https:\/\/galeripandeng.isi.ac.id\/<\/a> from October 28 to November 12, 2021. JMMK #13 is an official international virtual art exhibition and screening, having received certification from International Federation of Photographic Art<\/a> FIAP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The timing of the event in October coincides with the 27th anniversary of FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta, which is when FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta began its operations. This exhibition and virtual screening will feature photography and television program works., video-art<\/em>, documentary film, feature film, animated film, and game<\/em> works by students and lecturers within FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta, as well as guest works that annually participate from various higher education institutions of art with study programs in the field of media recording which are members of BKS-PTSI (Coordinating Body for Indonesian Higher Education Arts), professional colleagues from the Faculty of Media Recording Arts, and guest participants from similar higher education institutions abroad that have collaboration with FSMR ISI Yogyakarta such as CIT Canberra,<\/a> Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia<\/a>, VCA \u2013 University of Melbourne<\/a>, Eszterhazy Karoly University Hungary<\/a>, RMIT Australia<\/a>, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand,<\/a> and also University of Arts Targu Mures Romania<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this 13th iteration in 2021, there are a total of 65 works from photography, film and television, as well as animated films and game <\/em>good from academic community<\/em>ICA FSMR,<\/a> ISI Yogyakarta, as well as academic colleagues from both within and outside the country. The diversity of the works presented is a representation of the spirit of the times that emerged and was spurred by experiences during this pandemic with its various dialectics. The Dean of FSMR, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn., stated that the JMMK #13 event, held coinciding with the 27th anniversary of FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta, was organized during the pandemic, thus demanding many \u2018new\u2019 things to remain productive and creative amidst various limitations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis year, JMMK is maximizing the utilization website<\/em> FEC - Pandeng Gallery and also an Android-based application as a medium for representing works. This is a manifestation of the spirit of all civitas academica<\/em> FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta to share information and facilitate stakeholder<\/em> \u201din accessing and enjoying the works presented in virtual exhibitions and screenings.\" Added the Dean of FSRM, ISI Yogyakarta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is hoped that this exhibition and screening can strengthen the media recording educational institution in implementing the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. Furthermore, it is also hoped that cooperation and connections with the entire big family of FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta and its partners will be strengthened. stakeholder<\/em> in developing recorded media art and knowledge. Hopefully, this exhibition will receive positive appreciation for the achievement of noble ideals as part of the effort to explore the nation's identity through art. Happy 27th birthday to FSMR YES!
