Photography is growing rapidly nowadays. Many non-technical aspects have become more frequent points of discussion. One of the non-technical aspects is visual literacy. Literacy is very important in the world of education, therefore in the Department of Photography, Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR), Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta strives to develop learning in this field. Various opportunities and possibilities in order to achieve the learning development goals are always carried out by the institution, one of which is to exchange or receive support in the form of photography books as reference materials for all students. civitas academica<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some time ago towards the end of November, the Department of Photography, FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta, received a visit from Agatha Bunanta, a female photographer with a myriad of achievements and also the founder and Chair \/ Director of Art Photography Indonesia, a non-profit organization that connects, encourages, expands cooperation, collaboration, and networking with photography organizations and individuals both nationally and internationally for the development of photography in Indonesia. During his visit, he gave his support by donating photography books to complete the collection of photo books in the Photography Department as well as in the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) Library of Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta. Among the dozens of books donated are photo books titled 2nd<\/sup> Indonesia Salon of Art Photography<\/em>, Indonesia Salon of Art Photography,<\/em> and Indonesian Eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assistant Dean I of FSMR, Dr. Edial Rusli, S.E., M.Sn., expressed his appreciation for the photo book support from Agatha Bunanta. In fact, besides wanting to donate books, Agatha Bunata, who wants to learn about the history of art in Indonesia, also held discussions about the possibility of introducing and learning more about photo salons to students. Agatha Bunata invites lecturers and students to participate in exhibitions abroad by providing space, networks, and access to open the widest possible opportunities for photography practitioners on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drs. Surisman Marah, M.Sn., a senior lecturer who represented the Photography Department to receive the book donation from Agatha Bunanta hoped that these books would bring comprehensive benefits to the students of the Photography Department. Agatha Bunanta also did not forget to give her appreciation by exchanging souvenirs in the form of books with Prof. Drs. Soeprapto Soedjono, M.F.A., Ph.D.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
