In celebration of the 38th anniversary of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta in 2022 with the grand theme \u201cArt for Life Recovery<\/em>\u201dFaculty of Recorded Media Arts (FSMR) ISI Yogyakarta<\/a> holding an Exhibition and Screening of Recorded Media Artworks from June 20-27, 2022, with the sub-theme \u201cNew Beginnings for the Future\u201d<\/em> which brings hope for a new beginning after the pandemic with a better future in life and art. This activity is oriented towards the development of the Photography, Film and Television, and Animation Study Programs as part of the FSMR ISI Yogyakarta which aims to always exist and continue working even during a pandemic like today. The opening of the Exhibition and Screening of Recording Media Art Works was held in the Auvi Room, Dean's Building of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts, ISI Yogyakarta in a limited offline manner and was attended by important officials at ISI Yogyakarta. Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. as the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta expressed his remarks and appreciation to FSMR for the achievements that have been made despite the pandemic, so that the screening and exhibition can run well digitally and can reach more audiences. \u201cThis is a clear example that the pandemic does not limit and hinder artistic creativity, instead it spurs the fighting power to live and revive art with new platforms,\u201d said the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The development of digital platforms is one of the solutions amidst the current transition period of the pandemic, not least as a medium for showcasing recorded media artworks. The Exhibition and Work Screening is carried out hybrid,<\/em> namely by means of Online <\/em>via website<\/em> <\/em><\/a>www.galeripandeng.isi.ac.id<\/em><\/a> <\/em>and offline <\/em>at Pandeng Gallery<\/a> <\/em>The Faculty of Recording Media Arts, ISI Yogyakarta, which is already recognized FIAP<\/a> (International Federation of Photographic Art)<\/em> as an internationally recognized exhibition gallery. The exhibition received auspices<\/em> or recognition as part of the International Exhibition Circuit and will be published in FIAP News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, for the first time, film and music video works were screened through the platform Online<\/em> movie screening Arrange<\/a> which is a digital movie screening platform. The digital screening platform is currently one of the well-developed platforms during the pandemic and is believed to be a good platform for recorded media artists to dialogue with a wider audience through screening works on the Rangkai platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FSMR<\/a> Yogyakarta ISI hopes that the event for the existence and development of knowledge in the field of media art through photography exhibitions and screenings of television programs, films, and animation can become an appropriate creative space. With this, it is hoped that every student can develop a creative attitude in order to overcome all limitations in the creative process during the pandemic through photography, television programs, video-art<\/em>, animated film, and games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his speech, the Dean of FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta<\/a>, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn. stated that the lingering Covid-19 pandemic has forced us to make various adjustments in our lives and has given rise to new habits. The 38th Dies Natalis of the Indonesia Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta took place within the environment of Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR)<\/a> can be an example of how humans respond to a situation that demands change, as stated in \u201cThe Excellence of Art for Life Recovery,\u201d which is the main theme of the 38th Dies Natalis ISI Yogyakarta<\/a> 2022. The theme was chosen in the hope of spreading a spirit of reflection to remain optimistic and forward-oriented, with major changes in building the country through formal educational institutions in the field of recording media arts. The extraordinary conditions that have been faced in the past are a great lesson for all of us. civitas academica<\/em> FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta<\/a> to transition and progress towards a new culture of work and creation, alongside the reorientation of national education through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy. This condition demands that all civitas academica<\/em> To be able to work quickly, effectively, efficiently, and achieve optimal results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, for example, went through a process that required a great deal of concentration and teamwork collectivity, FSMR ISI Yogyakarta<\/a> succeeded in fulfilling the mandate to increase the level for the D-3 Animation Study Program to D-4 or Applied Bachelor through the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia No. 24\/D\/OT\/2022. This achievement should be grateful because it will increase the opportunities for the younger generation to achieve careers in the field of animation through education at FSMR ISI Yogyakarta. Another example of the achievements of FSMR ISI Yogyakarta this year is the various cooperation programs with strategic partners to strengthen the Tridharma of higher education. One of the partners who on the occasion of this year's Anniversary partnered with FSMR ISI Yogyakarta is PT Indonesia Creativity Assembly<\/a>, a digital screening platform that in this activity plays a role in screening the creations of civitas academica<\/em> FSMR ISI Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 This achievement adds to FSMR's list of accomplishments. ISI Yogyakarta,<\/a> for example, the elevation of the FSMR ISI Yogyakarta Gallery to an International Gallery within the framework FIAP Exhibition Center<\/a>, making it currently the only FIAP Exhibition<\/em> Center<\/em> in Southeast Asia. Embracing a new era post-pandemic, where digital technology is increasingly optimized to carry out various activities, as well as the formation of mindset<\/em> new, then sub-theme \u201cNew Beginning<\/em>s for the Future\u201d<\/em> Hopefully, it can represent the spirit of FSMR ISI Yogyakarta to keep moving forward and developing (nkj\/aa).<\/p>\n\n\n
