TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC FOR HEALTH AND COMMON GOOD

In accordance with the Ministry of Education and Culture's appeal, official protocols related to handling COVID-19 in the area of educational institutions, schools and campuses are implemented by Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta by creating a COVID-19 task force at the institute level to the faculty level.

Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR), ISI Yogyakarta, in accordance with the above appeal responded by forming a task force Take Care of Each Other as a real effort to care for the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Task Force Take Care of Each Other will be at the forefront of handling the prevention and spread of COVID-19. This task force is part of the duties, functions, and authority of FSMR to improve coordination and vigilance in minimizing the spread of COVID-19. In its implementation, it will be assisted by each study program (Prodi), BEM, and HMJ on an ongoing basis.

With the joint movement take care of each other coordinated by the Task Force Take Care of Each Other in FSMR, is expected to enforce the COVID-19 handling protocol. So, all FSMR residents are also expected to participate in take care of each other by implementing clean & healthy living behavior (PHBS), maintaining a safe distance, and wearing masks. In addition, it is hoped that all FSMR residents can take care of each other carefully observe the campus environment and immediately report if anyone is in trouble or experiencing illness with typical COVID-19 symptoms.

Task Force Take Care of Each Other in its implementation will monitor the whereabouts of FSMR residents through a data collection system. Thus, the Task Force Take Care of Each Other will provide socialization of protocols and provisions for handling COVID-19 as an initial anticipation and provide information to the institution if there is an emergency situation in the campus environment.

As one of the concrete actions Take Care of Each Other, then on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, the second distribution of basic food assistance was held for outside students who were still staying in Yogyakarta. A total of 130 aid packages were given to FSMR students in the hope of lightening their burden a little. This aid distribution is thanks to the support and sympathy of all employees and lecturers. 

Technically, the assistance was distributed by a team from the Student Executive Board (BEM), Faculty of Recording Media Arts. The implementation went smoothly according to the schedule, which was at 11:00 until 13:00. According to information from the committee, the distribution of aid was in accordance with the target. Basic food assistance containing several kinds of basic necessities is expected to help students who are still staying in their respective boarding houses.

The implementation, which is in front of the Pandeng FSMR Gallery, of course goes through health protocol and safety procedures. For example, students are required to wear masks to come to campus, implement protocols physical distancingHowever, it is important to maintain order and not create a crowd. Students receiving assistance are required to come to campus themselves and not be represented by others. For the collection itself, a protocol is also applied physical distancing. In taking the parcel, students do not get off the vehicle, just take the parcel along with the signature of the receipt, then go straight home. Hopefully the basic food assistance can help the students.
