PHOTOGRAPHY STUDY PROGRAM OF FSMR ISI YOGYAKARTA EXHIBITS LECTURERS' WORKS AT ARTOPIA 2025, SUPPORTING THE ART ECOSYSTEM IN PUBLIC SPACES

Yogyakarta, 27 November 2025 - The Photography Study Program, Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR), Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta, once again showed its real contribution to the world of fine arts by participating in the major exhibition Artopia 2025. The exhibition organized by Pakuwon Mall Yogyakarta took place in the main hall of the mall, from 6 to 22 November 2025.

This active participation is a form of commitment from FSMR ISI Yogyakarta to not only foster young artists on campus, but also to bring and disseminate quality artworks to the wider community. By participating in Artopia 2025, FSMR supports the creation of a dynamic art ecosystem, where the boundaries between academic and public spaces become increasingly fluid and productive.

As a representation of high academic quality, a number of works by Photography Study Program lecturers were showcased in this prestigious event. The works not only showcase the technical and aesthetic strength of photography, but also reflect the research and conceptual exploration that characterizes the lecturers. The participation of the lecturers' works is expected to be a source of inspiration for students and the public, while demonstrating the relevance of the art of recorded media in the context of contemporary culture.

Through this strategic collaboration with Pakuwon Mall, FSMR ISI Yogyakarta strengthens its role as a driving force for cultural arts. This step is in line with the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi mission for community service, by providing wider access for the public to reach quality works of art, as well as strengthening the positive impact of FSMR's existence in the arts and cultural landscape in Yogyakarta and Indonesia.
