The Camera Composition class of the Film and Television Department, Faculty of Recording Media Arts, Indonesian Institute of the Arts Yogyakarta, began the even semester on February 24, 2020, with an introduction to and practical use of Digital Cinema Cameras held in Studio 1 of the Film and Television Department. The cinema camera introduction practice is a routine agenda for the Camera Composition class according to the semester's study learning plan. This activity was realized through a collaboration with VICAMRENTYK, a equipment rental service in Yogyakarta, to provide the BMPCC Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. The class started with an introduction to the camera, covering SOPs, anatomy, setup, and setting recording. The activity was attended by 80 students and divided into 2 classes taught by 2 lecturers, Latief Rakhman Hakim, M.Sn., and Pius Rino Pungkiawan, M.Sn., with assistance from Erviyanto Nugroho, a final-year student and owner of VICAMRENTYK.
The purpose of this activity is to bring students closer to the current industry standards and demonstrate how they work. digital cinema camera starts from SOP to setting supporters. In addition, on the same occasion, students were introduced to lighting equipment often used during production. (Red)
