A total of 50 students from the Photography Study Program FSMR, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta were officially deployed to take part in an internship and Independent Study program, part of the Merdeka Campus Competition Program (PKKM). This student deployment was carried out in stages from August 29 to September 1, 2024, with the aim of providing direct experience in the industrial world.
One of the partners in this program is Keewa Shoes, where the students were welcomed by Dani Ika Suryandari, Owner of Keewa Shoes. During their internship at Keewa Shoes, students will not only apply the photography knowledge they have learned on campus, but will also be invited to dive into the commercial world by conducting in-depth observations of Keewa's brand DNA. They will also analyze the market through social media and interaction with consumers, as well as work together in a team to create visual content that fits the brand concept and identity.
The internship and independent study program for students in this PKKM activity also collaborates with several DUD partners, besides Keewa Shoes, several other partners who are also internship locations are the DIY Cooperative and UKM Office, Jonas Foto, File Academy, Westlake Resort, and Greenhost Boutique Hotel.
Through this program, students are expected to develop additional skills such as digital marketing, branding communications, and business strategies that are relevant to the world of work. With the conversion of 10-20 credits obtained from this program, students not only gain valuable experience but also gain significant academic value. (PKKM FT Team)
