Yogyakarta, June 16, 2025 - The Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR) of Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta held a screening and seminar for the final project of Film and Television (FTV) students with the title "Efisienscreen" which was held on June 16-18, 2025. The screening event and student final project seminar were officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Recording Media, Dr. Edial Rusli, S.E., M.Sn. who was accompanied by the Vice Deans, Heads of Departments, and student representatives. The opening procession was marked by symbolic touching of the interactive screen, as a form of starting a series of screening activities and student final project seminars. Zidan as a representative of the 2018 Film and Television (FTV) Study Program students gave his speech by expressing his pride and gratitude for the implementation of the Efisiencreen program as a form of academic accountability as well as appreciation for student works. He explained that this program was the culmination of the learning process during lectures, which was realized through film screenings, television programs, and film script creation seminars.
Zidan also highlighted the meaning of the theme of "efficiency" raised in this program, which was initially chosen in a makeshift manner, but the more it is carried out, the results become quite intentional. He emphasized that efficiency is not a negative thing, but an important basis in creative work practices, including in the field of film. Through this program, students screened 12 short films, 1 documentary, 5 television programs, and held seminars for 8 script works. He concluded his remarks with a message to all fellow students to remain proud of their work, because it is the real result of the process and struggle during the study period.
The Head of the Television Department, Dr. Samuel Gandang Gunanto, S.Kom., M.T. who represented the Head of Study Program, lecturers and academic community also gave a speech.
In his remarks, he expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this activity as a forum for reflection, sharing ideas, and dissemination of students' critical thinking through the final project. He emphasized the importance of this activity in strengthening the role of students as future scholars and agents of change that have an impact on society. The long and challenging process of making a final project is considered the pinnacle of academic achievement that should be proud of, as well as an initial portfolio in the professional journey of students in the world of creative industries, especially in the field of film and cinema.
