Yogyakarta, September 11, 2024 — In an effort to create graduates who are not only ready to work but also ready to become entrepreneurs, the Photography Study Program at FSMR ISI Yogyakarta held a student entrepreneurship packaging workshop. This event took place at the Prawirotaman Hotel Gallery and lasted for a full day, involving three experienced speakers: Agung Priyo Wicaksono, Y. Sri Susilo Wirodiharjo, and Talchah Hamid. This training is part of the PKKM program for the development of student entrepreneurship in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) era.
This entrepreneurship packaging FGD provides lecturers with the opportunity to learn directly about the business world through material focused on business management, marketing strategies, and market opportunity identification. Agung Priyo Wicaksono, in his presentation, encouraged students not to be afraid of starting a business at a young age. “Entrepreneurship is not just about making money, but also about creating value and opportunities for others,” he said. He also emphasized that marketing communication is an important aspect of business success.
Y. Sri Susilo Wirodiharjo highlighted the importance of mindset entrepreneurship, especially among the younger generation. According to him, this training can help students think more creatively and innovatively in facing business challenges. “With this, students can understand how to manage risks and develop effective strategies to build a sustainable business,” he added. He also shared his experience about the importance of resource management, both in terms of finance and human resources.
Talchah Hamid, a photography industry practitioner, shared insights on how digital technology has transformed the photography business landscape. “In the digital era, photographers are required to have more than just shooting skills. They must also be capable of creating added-value visual content,” he said. He emphasized the importance of innovation and adaptation in facing technological changes, which are key to success in today's photography industry. (PKKM FT Team)
