VISIT OF EDUCATION AND CULTURE ATTACHÉ TO FSMR ISI YOGYAKARTA

The Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta once again witnessed an international art and cultural collaboration through the visit of the Education and Cultural Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul. During the visit, he not only appreciated the students' works but also actively participated in various art activities that strengthened Indonesia's cultural ties with the international community.

One of the agenda items that attracted attention was the screening of film works created by students from the Film and Television (FTV) and Animation Study Programs. These films depict the richness of the creative ideas of ISI Yogyakarta students in conveying cultural messages, social values, and innovative visual experiments. The attaché appeared very enthusiastic in witnessing the creative process on display, while also appreciating the quality of the works that are competitive on a global level.

After enjoying the film screening, he tried the unique experience of printing photos using an old photography technique. This process not only demonstrated the students' technical skills but also revived historical values of photography that are rarely found today. The traditional technique served as a bridge between modern art and cultural heritage that remains relevant in the digital age.

The visit continued with an exploration of the Pandeng Gallery, which is currently hosting an exhibition of old print photography by students of the Photography Study Program. This exhibition showcases the visual explorations of students who delve into manual photographic printing techniques, while also serving as a space for dialogue between tradition and innovation. Praise and appreciation were given to the students for their dedication in preserving classic techniques while exploring their artistic potential.

This visit not only served as a moment of artistic appreciation but also strengthened the relationship between ISI Yogyakarta and the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul. Through collaborations like this, Indonesian art and culture are increasingly recognized on the international stage, simultaneously becoming an effective means of cultural diplomacy.
