Yogyakarta, August 16, 2025 — The Faculty of Recorded Media Arts (FSMR) of the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta, in collaboration with Batik Lawasan and PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), is initiating a photography exhibition and workshop titled “Jogja Where To Go”. This activity was designed by the Student Association of the Photography Department (HMJ Fotografi FSMR) with the assistance of the Vice Dean for Field 3 FSMR, as a forum for developing student creativity and disseminating knowledge of recorded media art to the public.
On Friday, August 15, 2025, FSMR Public Relations Coordinator Raynald Alfian Y, M.Phil, along with the Head of the Photography Student Association (HMJ Fotografi) and representatives from Batik Lawasan, presented the plan for this activity to the leadership of DAOP VI KAI at Tugu Station. The exhibition will feature photographic works highlighting the natural beauty and culture of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). PT KAI fully supports this initiative by providing the Tugu Station environment as the event location, utilizing the station's daily audience potential of 5,000–7,000 visitors.
This activity, which will take place from late August to September 2025, is a strategic step to strengthen synergy between academics, industry players, and the community. “This collaboration not only provides a space for student expression but also introduces photography as a relevant medium for cultural documentation and promotion in public spaces,” said Raynald Alfian Y.
By partnering with strategic collaborators, FSMR ISI Yogyakarta is committed to expanding the impact of art education while promoting the cultural richness of Yogyakarta through creative approaches. (Public Relations)
