COLOR MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP, PRINT MAKER ARTIST SUHERRY ARNO'S REAL SUPPORT FOR PHOTOGRAPHY STUDY PROGRAM

Educational challenges that are tailored to the dynamic needs of the world of work require students to have specific skills to equip them for the future. Some job opportunities require not only shooting skills, but also other skills that are still closely related to photography. One of them is the skill to print photos with good quality. The Photography Study Program (Prodi), Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR), Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta responds to the challenges of the era by organizing Color Management workshop/color management workshop attended by a number of lecturers and students, on Monday (10/2/2020). The workshop, which was held at the Computer Laboratory, Photography Study Program Building, was guided by William Sutanto, a color management expert. print maker from Fenestra Imaging and ARTi Pictures, Jakarta.

Color management is a course development of the Photography Study Program to equip students with specific skills that can be applied by them after graduation. In the workshop, William Sutanto delivered materials on monitor calibration, color management, introduction to printing materials, and photo printing practices with systematic procedures to produce maximum quality photo prints to the participants.

The head of the photography department at ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn., said that the development of the course was as follows color management The aim is that students will have specific skills, and can be a provision for their future. The knowledge and skills gained can later be utilized in the world of work and entrepreneurship in the field of photography.

The practical tools used in this workshop received great support from Suherry Arno, a photographer, Print Maker ArtistHe is also a donor who has made many donations to the Photography Study Program. Suherry Arno has a great concern for the advancement of photography education at the Faculty of Recording Media Arts, ISI Yogyakarta. Therefore, he provides scholarship support to lecturers to study alternative printing techniques in Australia and equipment assistance including a Canon Pro-500 printer, UV exposure unit, as well as revitalization and addition of Dark Room Laboratory equipment, for the development of the educational process in the Photography Study Program, ISI Yogyakarta, with a total value of Rp 300 million.
