On Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 09.00 WIB, an award ceremony was held for five outstanding students at ISI Yogyakarta. Previously, the selection of outstanding students at the Institute level was also held. The five outstanding students selected were Riskya Duavania Prihardini (Film and Television Study Program) first place at the undergraduate level, Kandida Rani Nyaribunyi (Art Management Study Program) second place at the undergraduate level, and Dwi Nusa Aji Winarno (Dance Study Program) third place at the undergraduate level. As for the diploma level, Tara Loretta (Batik and Fashion Study Program) won first place at the diploma level and Dyah Aditya (Animation Study Program) won second place at the diploma level.
The event which took place in Meeting Room III, ISI Yogyakarta Rectorate Building was attended by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum., Assistant Rector I, Dr. St. Hanggar Budi Prasetya, S.Sn., M.Si., Assistant Rector III, Muhammad Sholahuddin, S.Sn., M.T., Assistant Deans III from all Faculties, Assessment Lecturers, Head of BAAKPSI, and student affairs staff. Unlike previous years, the agenda for awarding certificates, which is usually held in the middle of the crowd during flag ceremonies on certain holidays, this time took place very simply and limited, while still implementing COVID-19 health and safety protocols such as maintaining physical distance and wearing masks. The event was opened with remarks by the Vice Rector III, Muhamad Sholahuddin, S.Sn., M.T., followed by remarks by the Rector of ISI Yogyakarta, Prof. Dr. M. Agus Burhan, M.Hum. After that, it was continued with the awarding of certificates and prizes to five outstanding students and taking pictures together. Before the event was closed, one of the representatives of outstanding students, Riskya Duavania Prihardini, said a few words.
The Rector's speech this time elaborated on the points contained in the vision and mission of Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta. One of them is that the success indicator of the implementation of the vision and mission of the college is the result of a harmonious collaboration between academics / teachers, curriculum, and not to forget the great contribution of its students. The Rector of ISI Yogyakarta said that the character of art students is not only limited to the scope of art, but also to the development of practice. softskills outside the realm of art as well, one of which is the involvement of students in the Ministry of Education and Culture's agenda, namely the selection of outstanding students. In his remarks, ISI Yogyakarta also expressed great hope that the two students selected as representatives of the Institute, Riskya Duavania Prihardini (Film and Television Study Program) and Tara Loretta (Batik and Fashion Study Program), could continue to advance to the next round of selection and gain success.
