Yogyakarta, September 12, 2025 – The Faculty of Recorded Media Arts at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta is forging a strategic collaboration with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Region VI Yogyakarta and Batik Lawasan to hold a Photography Exhibition titled “Jogja Where To Go”. The exhibition, held in the public area of Tugu Yogyakarta Station, will run from September 12 to 21, 2025.
This exhibition is spearheaded by the Photography Study Program Student Association (HMJ) of the Faculty of Recorded Media Arts at ISI Yogyakarta. The 32 photographic works on display are the creative output of the academic community of the Photography Study Program at ISI Yogyakarta, comprising both lecturers and students. The theme of the showcased works is to present the Exotic Side of Jogja and the authentic culture of Yogyakarta.


The exhibition's opening ceremony will be officially held on September 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM WIB by the Dean of the Faculty of Visual Communication Design ISI Yogyakarta and the Head of Tugu Yogyakarta Station, marking the commencement of the exhibition which is open to the public and free for all passengers and station visitors.
The main goal of this exhibition is to disseminate knowledge of recording media (photography) into strategic public spaces with high traffic, such as Tugu Station. Additionally, this activity aims to preserve and promote local culture through visuals, and to provide a direct positive impact on the community by presenting accessible art in the midst of their transportation activities. The collaboration with Batik Lawasan also adds cultural value to the event's organization. (Public Relations)
