The film ”Gadis dan Penatu," produced by students of the S1 Film and Television Study Program, Faculty of Recorded Media Arts, ISI Yogyakarta, can now be widely enjoyed on the streaming platform Vidio, available to audiences worldwide. The public can watch this film from August 22nd to October 21st, 2025. This achievement is a source of pride for the academic community of ISI Yogyakarta because the work produced by its students is accessible to the public.
The film “Gadis dan Penatu” was produced as part of an assignment given by a lecturer at the S1 Film and Television Study Program, Faculty of Visual Arts and Design, ISI Yogyakarta. The students involved in Sakha Selatan not only successfully completed the film production task but also created a film that received numerous awards at national and international levels. In the making of this film, the students in the Sakha Selatan group were supported by the Faculty of Visual Arts and Design ISI Yogyakarta, EKRaf, and collaborated with Kemanten Danurejan City of Yogyakarta, Melia Purosani, and Sarkem Cinematic Scoring. This work proves the capacity of FSMR ISI Yogyakarta students in presenting quality entertainment while expanding their creative industry network in the digital realm.
The presence of this film on the Vidio platform is not only proof that the work of ISI Yogyakarta students can compete in the film industry but also serves as an inspiration for the younger generation to continue creating and elevating stories from a local perspective to a global audience. Hopefully, this achievement will continue to motivate ISI Yogyakarta students to create and achieve. (HAB)
