On September 5-6, 2025, the Faculty of Recorded Media Arts (FSMR) at ISI Yogyakarta will hold a Competency Certification Preparation Training for students. This event is organized to equip students with skills and practical understanding before they take the certification test, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of graduates in the job market.
The event opened with remarks from the Dean of FSMR ISI Yogyakarta, followed by a session on “The Urgency of Competency Certification” delivered by Pamungkas Wahyu Setiyanto, M.Sn., a lecturer in the Photography program and Director of LSP ISI Yogyakarta. Subsequently, participants attended training sessions according to their chosen scheme. In the Photography scheme, students received training on Journalistic Photography by Desi Suryanto, S.Sn., a professional photographer from Harian Jogja, and Commercial Photography by Hendra Panji Irawan, S.Sn., a commercial photographer. Meanwhile, in the Animation scheme, students received training on Three-Dimensional Animation from Al Fitri Muhammad Zacky, Founder & CEO of Kampoong Monster Studio, and Two-Dimensional Animation from Randi Catono Putro, Founder & CEO of Animars Studio.
Through this training, FSMR ISI Yogyakarta hopes that students will not only be ready to face competency certification but also be more confident in entering the creative industry, especially in the fields of photography and animation. (HAB)
