Yogyakarta, April 17, 2025 - Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta has again strengthened support for student activities by ratifying the Film & Television Production Student Association (HIMA PFT) under the auspices of the Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR). The ratification event took place on Thursday (17/4) in the AUVI FSMR Room and was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and representatives of student organizations.
HIMA PFT is a student organization that houses the D4 Film & Television Production Study Program. After a three-year process since the study program was established in 2023, the official ratification was carried out by the Dean of FSMR, Dr. Edial Rusli, S.E., M.Sn., witnessed by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Arif Sulistiyono, M.Sn., Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Antonius Janu, M.Sn., PFT Study Program Coordinator, Andri Nur Patrio, M.Sn., as well as representatives of ORMAWA and Student Activity Groups (KKM) throughout FSMR.
The activity began with singing the Indonesia Raya song, then continued with remarks from the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and remarks from the Dean of FSMR who also formalized the existence of the association. The inauguration procession was marked by the signing of the minutes by faculty leaders and student representatives.
In his speech, Dr. Edial Rusli said that the presence of HIMA PFT is expected to be a growing space for students in developing themselves, improving intellectual quality, and strengthening the culture of work in the campus environment. "This is an important step in supporting the academic ecosystem and student creativity. HIMA is not just a formal organization, but a meeting place for ideas and collective spirit," he said.
HIMA PFT is expected to be a driving force for student activities that are inclusive and productive, ranging from scientific discussions, technical training, to the production of competitive film and television works. This organization was also formed to accommodate student aspirations, as well as strengthen relationships between students and lecturers within the D4 Film & Television Production Study Program.
With this ratification, FSMR ISI Yogyakarta confirms its commitment in supporting the strengthening of student character and competence through structured and sustainable organizational activities. (Public Relations)
