One of the routine events to mark the end of the study period for students of the Photography Study Program, Faculty of Recording Media Arts (FSMR), Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Yogyakarta is the implementation of the Sewon Photography Week (PFS). This time PFS has stepped on the tenth event, so that officially the joint exhibition of the Final Project of the Gasal Semester of the 2021/2022 academic year is called Sewon Photography Week #10. Located at Pandeng Gallery, FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta, PFS #10 which carries the theme Restart was officially opened on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
The word "Restart" can actually be interpreted into many meanings, one of which is to start over. Restart is also a representation of hope for the situation that is starting to improve, thus encouraging various parties to be able to carry out activities as before. The Dean of FSMR ISI Yogyakarta, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn., stated that the limited offline PFS #10 shows a good trend, because for the past two years this exhibition has been held offline. It is hoped that the conditions can be normalized soon so that the exhibition can be held directly as in previous years in order to have a more optimal impact on the institution and the community. This was also confirmed by the Head of the Photography Study Program, FSMR, ISI Yogyakarta, Oscar Samaratungga, S.E., M.Sn., who said that according to the theme raised, namely RestartTherefore, this exhibition can be interpreted as an effort to reformat the exhibition as it was in the years before the pandemic.
Sewon Photography Week itself is the final result of the student learning process for eight semesters. In addition to the thesis accountability exam, students who have taken the exam session are also required to exhibit the work of creation and study that has been done. PFS #10 "Restart" this time was attended by 17 students with research results in the form of work creation and work study. Congratulations and success to the exhibitors who are also graduates of the Photography Department FSMR ISI Yogyakarta who officially hold the Bachelor of Arts (S.Sn.) degree on Wednesday, March 9, 2022.
