On Friday, October 6, 2017 in the AUVI FSMR room, the Photography Study Program in collaboration with Sewon Art Space presented Claudia Larcher, a lecturer, artist, filmmaker, curator, and researcher from Austria to give a Multimedia Art Public Lecture.
In this Public Lecture Caludia Larcher explained her art projects which are a form of response between space, history, familiarity and memory. This public lecture was attended by students with great enthusiasm as evidenced by the AUVI room which was packed with students. In the question and answer session, students were also very enthusiastic in asking several questions about Caludia Larcher's works. Fitriana, one of the Photography students, asked about the appropriation of works that are still debated in some circles. Appropriation can be seen in some of Claudia Larcher's works that she presented. Claudia is currently doing an art project called "Rumah Indonesia" at Sewon Art Space Yogyakarta.
