The organization of this academic seminar itself is motivated by various phenomena that have affected the art world since the virtual and online era became a necessity during the Covid-19 pandemic. Conventional art activities that usually bring together various parties in the art ecosystem have been disrupted. The stimuli emanating from art that are usually observed directly have also shifted due to this phenomenon.
The stage, exhibition halls, screening rooms and meetings are now merging into a virtual space, erasing barriers and distances, making art more inclusive. Various virtual platforms and models viewing experience was explored. Conversion of meetings to online presence both artists, art workers and art lovers continue to be carried out in maintaining the art ecosystem so that it continues to run.
To the journalists present, Dr. Irwandi, M.Sn., stated that this virtual seminar is actually also a form of adjustment to the current virtual and online phenomenon. Researchers are challenged to submit their thoughts and analyses related to the life of art and media during the Covid-19 pandemic. The hope is that from this activity a new perspective will emerge in seeing the art ecosystem that must continue to survive in this difficult time.
The Chairperson of the Virtual Seminar, Ari Prasetyawati, S.H., L.LM, added that this seminar is actually a good stimulus to arouse the productivity of academics and researchers, or even artists and other parties in the art ecosystem to express their critical thoughts through a written work which can later become material for study in the art world in the future.
This seminar will be held virtually with the Zoom clouds meeting application, and will be broadcast live via Youtube. Researchers from various regions will present their papers before panelists in the virtual room.
