The Faculty of Recorded Media Arts at ISI Yogyakarta is preparing to participate in national photography, film, and animation competitions. The biennial competition organized by the National Achievement Center (Pusprenas) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, namely the National Student Arts Week (Peksiminas) for Photography and the Indonesian Student Film Festival, are among the targets, in addition to other national and international competitions.
One of the strategies of FSMR ISI Yogyakarta in participating in these competitions is to provide guidance to student candidates for the competition delegation through the workshop “Tips for Breaking into National Art Competitions” with FSMR ISI Yogyakarta alumni who have established themselves and have excellent track records in both film and photography.
FSMR ISI Yogyakarta, through the Student Affairs department and the FSMR Student Executive Board (BEM), invites alumni who will share tips and strategies related to preparing for national-level film and photography competitions. The invited alumni are Bonfilio Yosafat, a documentary photographer and Peksiminas winner, and Siska Raharja, an Elora Films producer with an international reputation.
This activity will be carried out in two stages: a workshop held on Friday, July 22, 2022, in person at the Auvi Room, Deanate of FSMR ISI Yogyakarta, and a Technical Guidance (Bimtek) stage which will be held leading up to the internal faculty-level delegate selection. Through this mentoring, it is hoped that delegate candidates for competitions who are capable of competing nationally and internationally will emerge.
